Inside the Chattogram floor where Impero is made

Bangladesh is the second largest garment exporter on earth. Almost none of that quality is sold here, at home, under a Bangladeshi name. That gap is the reason Impero exists.

Knitting and dyeing

Yarn arrives, is knitted into loopback on circular machines, then garment-dyed in small lots. Small lots are slower and cost more per unit, but colour consistency across a drop depends on it.

Cutting and sewing

Our patterns are graded in Dhaka and cut in Chattogram. A hoodie passes through roughly twenty operations before it reaches final QC.

Quality control

1. Inline checks at every seam station.
2. A full measurement audit on one in ten garments.
3. A final wash test on samples from each dye lot.

Anything outside tolerance goes back. It is unglamorous work and it is the whole difference between a good garment and a cheap one.
