Impero exists because Bangladesh makes the world's best knitwear and keeps almost none of it for itself.
Origin
Impero was started in Dhaka by people who had spent long enough inside the export industry to know exactly what a ৳1,500 hoodie is made of, and what the ৳15,000 one on the shelf abroad is made of. Often the same factory. Often the same fabric.
So we went to the source. Chattogram — where a large share of the world's best knitwear is produced for labels that never mention it. We use the same facility, the same certified fabric, and the same finishing lines, and we sell it here at home.
What we changed is what happens before the order is placed: three minimum sampling rounds, fit signed off in Dhaka on real bodies, and a refusal to ship anything we would not wear for the next five years.
How we work
Every piece starts at the mill. If the cloth is not right, the pattern does not matter. We buy heavier than the category standard and accept the cost.
One tonal mark, placed where it belongs. Nothing on our garments asks for attention it has not earned.
Small runs, made properly, released when they are finished. No markdown cycle, no clearance rails, no filler product.
One factory in Chattogram and we say so. Audited, certified, and paid on agreed terms.
